Who is Floyd?

Floyd served in the Vietnam War (Bronze Star and 4 Purple Hearts) before pursuing theological education at Bible college. Married Christine. Spent six years in Portland at a fantastic church and obtained him Mdiv and ThM degrees.

Then they spent 15 years living and ministering in Austria. During that time, they traveled extensively across Europe, including several trips behind the Iron Curtain and into Russia (1.5 years). Their work in Austria included starting three Bible churches. When they returned to the States, they started two Bible churches and taught in three different Bible colleges, one of which was Moody Bible Institute in Spokane, WA.

While teaching in Spokane, he chose to begin a PhD in Systematic Theology and Apologetics at the age of 63. He finished it just before turning 70. He loved every seminar he took at Liberty University. His book: Mark Challenges the Aeneid. (What’s an “Aeneid”?)

During that same time period, he “encouraged” Christine to pursue and finish a master’s degree from Grace Seminary (all online). She did. He is very proud of Christine.

Floyd is married to his wife, Christine. Together they have two sons: Erich (married to Deb) and Michael (married to Julie). They are blessed with eight grandchildren. Floyd had the privilege of performing the wedding of Alek to Kate this last March.

Today, they are trying to retire in Montana: gardening, gazing at the sky...but the phone won’t stop ringing.
